My 1st Christmas

Well to say the least Christmas was very busy for us. Christmas Eve we went to church for a candle light service. Then we headed to Brian's parents for the Magill Family Gathering. Isabel had a lot of fun playing with her cousins and opening presents. When we got home Brian and I opened our presents. We have always done this on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning started early because we were cooking breakfast for my mom and brother. After breakfast more presents! Then we headed to my Aunt Mary's for lunch and yes presents. Isabel once again had a great time playing and opening gifts. By the time we left she was exhausted. She fell asleep before we got out of the driveway. Then we went to Brian's parents for supper. By the time we got home we were all very tired and ready for bed. It was a long day but we really enjoyed Isabel. I can only imagine what next year will be like.

Christmas pictures

Isabel will be 10 months tomorrow so I went to have regular pictures took along with her Christmas pictures. She did really good except for every time I sat her down she took off crawling. So it was a lot of work for me, I got my exercise for the day. She also had pictures made with her cousins. They all turned out really good.

Putting up the tree

We decided to go ahead and put up our tree since Brian was home to help. He entertained Isabel while I decorated the tree. Isabel loved the angel that goes on top of the tree. You can't tell from the picture but she is fiber optic and Isabel was amazed with the lights. She also liked the ornaments that play music. Every morning when we come into the living room she waves hi to the tree.

Our 1st Thanksgiving

As you can see Isabel was ready for the food.

This was our first Thanksgiving with Isabel and it was great. We did the same thing we always do but it was so much more special with Isabel. Having her makes the holidays so much fun. Watching her experience everything for the first time is wonderful. I can't wait until Christmas.

Hanging out with friends

A few weeks ago we went to Knoxville with our friends Leslie, Shawn and Levi. Isabel just loves Levi. She thinks he is so funny, she just laughs and laughs at him. He loves her too! He is always hugging her and entertaining her. He calls her I bell. Leslie and Shawn have a new addition now that had not arrived just yet when this picture was taken. But we had decided to try out their double stroller and I just love this picture.

Daddy and me

Isabel loves her Daddy and enjoys every moment she has with him and he feels the same way. She thinks he is her big play mate. When he comes home from work she just lights up.

Well this was Isabel's first Halloween and she went as a lady bug. The costume was very simple but cute and it wasn't annoy. I didn't have to keep pulling at it or adjusting it so it was a big hit with me. We went to a Halloween party at our friends house and some of Isabel's buddies were there.

Bows

Well anyone that knows me knows that I am not frilly or that I like anything frilly or with bows. However, I decided it was time to put a bow in Isabel's hair. She has not had one in since we left the hospital. It was quiet funny actually since I didn't even know if I was putting it in the right spot.

I know you all are looking at this picture and asking yourself what were we thinking but I have to blame Brian for this one. Our friend Ashley bought this for Isabel and Brian decided to let her wear this to aggravate our friends who are Vol fans. Fortunately he let her wear it to church so no one killed him.

First time at the skating rink

Makenzie, my niece, had her 7th birthday party at the skating rink on Sunday. Isabel liked watching all the kids and the lights.

Isabel loves Brian so much! She gets so excited everyday when he comes home. Well today Brian was playing on his trackhoe and he decided to put Isabel on there with him. She loved it! I am just glad I thought to go grab the camera!

So many things to tell!!!

I know it has been awhile since I posted anything but we have been very busy! Isabel has been doing a lot of things since I made a post. She has gotten 2 teeth, pulling up and has sort of learned to crawl (she scoots more than crawls). She has also learned to say bye bye! My little girl is growing up and it breaks my heart! I am so thankful God has blessed us with a wonderful little girl.

I'm a big girl!

Isabel has now started to sit up by herself. When she does it she thinks she has conquered the world, it is so funny!! I can't help but be a little sad because my little girl is growing up.

6 months

Friday Isabel turned 6 months old. I can't hardly believe it! It seems like only yesterday that I had her. Anyway, I took her to have her pictures made and hear is a little preview. As you can see she likes having her picture made. The last picture was at the end and she was tired.

Working hard

On Friday and today, my friend Leslie and I had a yard sale (Isabel's 1st one). Friday was pretty good but Saturday was not so good. So Leslie and I were kind of bored. This is us goofing off at Isabel's expense. She kind of looks like Elmer Fudd in the brown hat. Sorry Isabel!!!

So excited....

I thought everyone would enjoy seeing Isabel playing with her toy. She gets so excited! It cracks me up when she does this.

My first 4th of July

For the 4th we went to our friends house for a cookout. Isabel was dressed appropriately for the occasion in her red and white with stars. She had a lot of fun and didn't want to miss a thing!

Let's go swimming

Brian and I went away for our anniversary and of course Isabel went with us. The place we stayed at had an indoor pool so we decided to take Isabel swimming for the first time. As you can see it was no big deal to her. She thought she was just taking a bath.

I want to be like Daddy

Isabel loves her Daddy very much. So I thought it would be neat if they had matching sunglasses. Don't they look cute!

My First VBS

This is Isabel's first year of Vacation Bible School. She is so funny to watch as she takes everything in. She likes the music the most.
